Help
DaakMe is for writing letters to one person at a time. Here are answers to the questions people ask most. Something else? Write to us and we will reply within two working days.
How long does a letter take?
A few minutes: it travels from your city to theirs and you can follow it on the way. A telegram arrives the moment you send it. You can also have a letter arrive on a day you choose, like a birthday morning.
Does the other person need the app?
No. Send them the link in any messaging app; it opens in a browser and shows the envelope until the letter arrives.
Why can't I write more?
Each paper holds as much as the real one: a telegram 160 characters, a postcard 450, an inland letter card 1,200 and an envelope 5,000. Near the end, tap "Want to write more?" to move your words to a bigger paper.
The sign-in code didn't arrive
Check the number and country code, wait a minute and tap Resend. Codes come by text message (or WhatsApp in some countries). You can also sign in with Apple or Google.
Someone sent me a letter I don't want
A first letter from someone new waits for you: open it, return it, or tap "Report as unwanted". Reporting returns it unread, blocks the sender and tells us; we look at every report within 24 hours.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: tap your stamp at the top right of Home, then Settings, then Delete my account. You can also ask us to delete it for you.
Who can read my letters?
You and the person you wrote to. There are no ads and your letters are never used for advertising. More in our privacy policy.
